I updated our 3 themed posts so that they’re combined with the daily discussion. This way we’re not cutting off the daily conversation with the themed conversations and gives more time to the theme.
Another thing I did was set the post to launch at 3am eastern (4am during daylight savings), this gives our stock traders & investors in the rest of the world (Australia, Europe, and anyone who speaks English) time to post comments related to stocks and participate in the themes while also making sure it doesn’t start too early for our users on the west coast (12am & 1am pacific time respectively).
I know this will single out Alaska, for example Monday’s daily discussion post will start Sunday at 11pm & 12am Alaska time and Hawaii 9pm & 10pm Hawaii time, so the best I can say is sorry, but I’m sure you guys are used to it already.
Sorry to everyone in Australia, Europe and anyone who speaks English who participated in the these daily & themed posts and never got any responses, now the new time will solve that issue.
Thanks to everyone who have participated in the past and who make r/Stocks a serious, helpful, and informative place to discuss stocks.
I know I posted this late for Australia, but for everyone else who is awake, here’s today’s daily discussion & fundamentals Friday:
This is the daily discussion, so anything stocks related is fine, but the theme for today is on fundamentals, but if fundamentals aren’t your thing then just ignore the theme and/or [post your arguments against fundamentals here](https://www.reddit.com/r/stocks/search?q=author%3Aautomoderator+%22r%2Fstocks+semiannual+arguments+against+TA%22&restrict_sr=on&include_over_18=on&sort=new&t=all) and not in the current post.

Most fundamentals are updated every 3 months due to the fact that corporations release earnings reports every quarter, so traders are always speculating at what those earnings will say, and investors may change the size of their holdings based on those reports. Expect a lot of volatility around earnings, but it usually doesn’t matter if you’re holding long term, but keep in mind the importance of earnings reports because a trend of declining earnings or a decline in some other fundamental will drive the stock down over the long term as well.
